Graspy and bb, if you fly down to LA for this all drinks are on me. (sorry for super last minute notice but the director of music program didn't email me until today -- but even so, you have atleast a couple of hours to pack, get some sleep, and hop on a plane first thing in the morning)

The best thing for the starving artists (or in my case, starving student) is the entire series is free admittance.
I cannot make the first day, but days 2 and 3 look amazing. Thank you for the tip. Last minute is A-OK when it is material like this.
wow. if I planned this right, I'd totally have broken even b/w plane ticket and free concerts. and it is bloody freezing over here today.
and don't forget all the free BOOZE!! anything you want (short of 20k bottles of wine)
Zhao denied me Cristal (sic?) so we are no longer talking. Gotta say, I do appreciate the offer and extended a raincheck to him for a Very Silent Lowercase dinner. Unfortunately, he is in SoCal, so the rainchecks don't come all that often....cheers to everybody! Drink one for me and two for Jim, then do it again.
what are you on about? what is this "cristal"? the Saariaho album?
the ch-am-pagn-e, dahling...this is the nectar that I know of only from (P)Diddy rekkids, and a crazed Tarantino quote from that wretched FOUR ROOMS film
ah. as much as I'm a fan of all sparkling alcoholic beverages, I am not familiar with this particular brand. maybe I should track some down... hmmm...
the performances last night were very cool. there were a couple of pieces that were staggeringly good. might miss today, but tomorrow I'll be there for the Large Open Space and the following program.
