"Iancu Dumitrescu's music is spectral, is electroacoustic, but above all is a coherent totality grounded in a different conception. Of all living composers, Dumitrescu is the one who has most exploded sound. Dumitrescu's work is a negation, from the depths, of everything in contemporary music symptomatic of distraction, of banalization, and of a radical loss of purpose. His music is not a new convolution in the knot of modern music, but an unravelling of the curse."

Tristan Murail - Vampyr! (1984) "Vampyr! is one of several works in Murail's catalogue that does not employ spectral techniques. Rather, in the performance notes, the composer asks the performer to play the piece in the manner of guitarists in the popular and rock traditions, such as Carlos Santana and Eric Clapton." - wiki

RECOMMENDATION:
to anyone new to these spectral and semi-spectral composers, lately I have been head-over-heels in love with this one, and I recommend it as a good place to start - nto a bad way to experience is to put it on headphones and go for a stroll through unknown parts of town.

Thank you gentlemans! i have no words to describe my gratefulness! I'm really enjoying this! So i'd like to beg you re-ups (or the olds links) of the others 10 from the previous 13.
Thanks!

glad you feelin da shizzle. other 10 don't need no re-ups. yo
meaning that the links are working.
and you might want to be careful of leaving your email open to software on the net which finds them and fills them with spam...
dumitrescu -- well done. this is definitely a top 2 disc. hasn't strayed more than three feet from my CD player for several years now.
if there's anyone for whom mp3's isn't going to cut it for dumitrescu, rerusa.com seems to have them in stock, the ones to get are this one (ED MN 1001), 'pierres sacrees' (ED MN 1003) & 'galaxy' (ED MN 1005)
Thanks for all this lovely stuff. More Murail is a real pleasure, Dumitrescu doubly so, and I need to give Radulescu a second chance. I once bought his Piano Concerto and hated it. Incidentally, Dumitrescu calls his music Acusmatic, and doesn't align himself with the spectralists; but that's splitting hairs because he shares a similarly adventurous sound world. So grateful you're putting out all this fantastic music for us to appreciate.
Any chance of some Tietchens uploaded?
I've been searching for this Dumitrescu / Grillo disc for years, and I find it here today, Christmas Day. This is the best Christmas I've had in decades! Thank you gentlemen.
Many - many - thanks indeed for those. Murail, again, is a treat... but everything you offer is insightful (and I do bye CDs after those discoveries!). Great job! My current research are around the Ondes Martenot, and Murail (and others) did integrated this (kind of spectral) instrument in their compositions. Cheers from Montreal.
