have been really enjoying these classical harp albums of late. maybe not as exciting or interesting as other posts before but so lovely for fall mornings... if people are feeling it there are several more along these lines.
Great idea - the harp is a fascinating instrument. I'm particularly into contemporary harp music (eg by Hans Otte & Mondoog=check out "Moondog Sharp Harp") but wouldn't mind more classical stuff.
"Zentral- u. Landesbibliothek Berlin" (says the stamp inside the booklet scans) = any relation to AmbroseBierce from http://welove-music.blogspot.com/?
I really like Berlin's public libraries - having been a regular guest/leecher at Amerika-Gedenkbibliothek near Hallesches Tor - remarkable collection of non-mainstream music. -Kai
thanks for heads up kai. yes this might have been originally upped by ambrose. a jolly good fellow i might add... just saw him too briefly day before yesterday...
more ocora? for sure! in october after i get back from morokko...
Also, you might dig Andreas Vollenwieder, who plays the electric harp. He's too good to call New Age... "White Winds" and "Dancing With The Lion" in particular really transcend the genre.
