I'd like to ditto what the other anonymous person noted. Also: thanks a lot. These OCORA uploads have been simply marvellous, and really have opened my eyes to Indian classical music.

As anonymous number two said, this stuff is really great. And because of it, I've found loads of other amazing Indian music elsewhere. Thanks! But feel free to wander wherever your taste buds lead!

Thanks for your efforts here. While I'm digging this stuff from India I welcome and look forward to Vietnam and Morocco. Who says there needs to be any specific order...variety is the spice of life.

Thanks again for all these great recordings

Nice stuff!!!
who plays tabla on the Satya Pawar Dev recording? Wonderful playing!
Thanks for this so much, and the others, the earlier Sharma, and the Gopal Krishna with Latif Ahmed Khan--classic recordings sourced from vinyl era!

thanks so much for the santur post. I heard that album all the time as a child, and loved it, but haven't heard it for years. Never realised it was on Ocora until now. can't wait for it to finish downloading to hear it again!

dear zhao, i recently wrote to you about the ocora purple covered dulcimer music from northern music. i got back on your site today and found it in your northern india part 3 archives dated 2008. originally i looked for a part 3 and there didn't seem to be one. now there is. this is the album i have been looking for for so long. thank you, thank you, so much. i am kind of new to internet blogging so i don't understand the dating of the blogs i am reading. or even if you are receiving the ones i send on pages from older dates.
thank you, thank you, anonymous - laotao

Hey Zhao,

I know the post is from awhile ago but any chance you could re-up the shivkumar sharma album?

Rest assured it would be most appreciated. I'm having to re-locate some precious tunes that got lost in a soul wrenching hard drive calamity' this release is a cherished one but apparently pretty difficult to find right now.

Peace and thanks-a-thousand,

Benoit

Hey Zhao,

Found a copy of this one last night hiding away on an ancient external. Let us rest well knowing Shivkumarji has returned to the digital aether!
