Columbia!

Columbia! - The Golden Age of Discos Fuentes

a friend o mine recently turned me on to this GIANT of a Columbian Salsa and Cumbia compilation from THE difinitive label -- Discos Fuentes. heavy Latin rhythms and bass, mighty brass sections, sweet touches of American jazz... my feet ain't stopped tapping, my ass ain't stopped shakin since.

man... compared to the folks responsible for this unstoppable fire sure to bring any house down in matter of minutes, what do we know about partying or anything else?

no more links. complaint from record label received. i usually only do out of print or overly expensive or rare records on this here blog, but this was so fucking good i just wanted to share it with the world... apologies. and more restraint will be exercised in future. go buy it, worth every penny.

It's just sad but rapidshare is not so convenient to use as mediafire or sendspace. I'am so excited to download this one !But I can't.

This label will fold if you and others like you share the music in this manner. Publicise it and provide a few samples but not the whole album.

I wonder if labels like Soundway and Soul Jazz might consider giving folks who have purchased the LP access to a high quality digital download. I think there are many chaps like myself who purchase a lot of vinyl from both of these labels, and if your like me, you don't have much interest in turning your analog lp's into compressed digital files. Just a thought.

i am totally in for that! i buy records but i would love to have a top quality digital format of the record for my mp3 player. record companies should consider that. i think is more than fair for the record buyers to have free downloads of the record
