continuing my totally unofficial grand tour of people making quiet, here is axel dörner's essential album of solo trumpet improvisations. beautiful, abstract and a bit noisy. equally versed in jazz, dörner has a fantastic sense of both texture and development. I recommend any recording w/ his trumpet and occasional electronics.

album art is all white, so enjoy this artful picture of mr. dörner and his instrument.

NOTE: my encoder grabbed his name as "Alex" not "Axel" - so, like, you'll just have to change that yrselves. sorry!
